Sewer Camera Inspection

Have you ever wondered what it looks like inside of your underground sewer line? Sure, it’s probably the last thing you would ever want to do but with trenchless technologies we can do it with a video camera. In Covington Kentucky, we conduct sewer camera inspection services all the time. The best part is that we don’t have to dig up a sewer pipe in order to do it. Here’s exactly what we do in order to peek inside your underground sewer line:

1 – Dig A Little

Okay, we said we wouldn’t dig up your yard, and we meant it. However, in order to get anywhere near the underground pipe that runs between your home and the street, we still need to access the pipe. We do this by digging one, maybe two, smaller holes down to the pipe connection sites. These holes are far smaller than a trench that other plumbing services use to get at buried pipes.

2 – Insert A Little Camera

You could call it our eyes on the inside, but once we can access your pipe connections, we will insert a small video camera. What this camera will do is give us a view of the condition of your sewer pipe. It is the best way to figure out what is going on down there if your home plumbing system is experiencing any kind of problem. The video camera will show us the actual condition of the pipe and location of any problems we can identify.

3 – A Little Extra Work

On the offhand chance we discover something like a clog or leak we will be able to provide a repair option that will not require any further digging in your yard. For example, if we locate a clog that has resulted from a tree root growing through the pipe, we can blast it out using high pressure water and air in our hydro jetting system. If there is a leak that has formed, we have other trenchless technologies to address those situations as well.

4 – A Little Less Money

We thought we’d also mention that trenchless technologies are cheaper for you and they will take far less time to complete. Did we mention that trenchless technologies mean less mess? If we aren’t going to dig up your yard, there’s going to be far less mess. Besides, the last thing we want to do is have you remember us because we tore up your yard instead of remembering the awesome repair we did on your sewer system. That’s one of the benefits we like most about trenchless technologies – there is no longer a need to dig to repair or dig to replace a whole pipe.
