CME Sewer Repair understands the importance of keeping your commercial property’s sewer and drain pipes operational. With more than 20 years of experience in sewer repair and maintenance in Cincinnati and the Tri State area, the CME Sewer Repair team are experts in sewer pipe lining for repair or maintenance. Sewer pipe lining is the new industry standard for repairing failing commercial sewers and pipes because it is faster, more affordable, and more reliable than traditional sewer repair methods.

What is Cure-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) Lining for Commercial Sewer Repair

Cure-in-place pipe lining is a process which results in a new seamless and jointless pipe-within-a-pipe. The process can be used to repair failing pipes with diameters as small as 3 inches and as large as 54 inches. This versatility makes cure-in-place pipe lining the ideal pipe repair solution for hotels, restaurants, retail stores, offices buildings, and any other commercial building where the sewer pipes are likely to have a larger diameter than a residential building. In addition, the process causes minimal disruption to day-to-day activities and is completed in far less time than traditional sewer repair methods.

Cure-in-place pipe lining is a process in which a flexible liner is inserted into deformed, cracked, eroded or partially collapsed pipes. The liner is a flexible sock-like tube made from fiberglass or a polyester felt material that has been saturated with a liquid epoxy-resin formula.

The Cure-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) Lining Process for Commercial Sewer Repair

  1. The length and thickness of the liner is measured and cut to fit the failing pipe.
  2. The liner is installed by inverting it into the failing pipe with air or water.
  3. Once it is in place, the liner is inflated and forms itself to the shape of the existing pipe.
  4. The sewer pipe liner is hardened by the application of heat with hot water or steam, exposure to UV light, or ambient air temperature. Regardless of how the heat is applied, this exposure creates a reaction that allows the epoxy-resin to cure along the inside of the pipe, which causes the liner to stiffen and harden.
  5. The result is a new sewer pipe installed seamlessly and jointlessly within the old pipe.

These new epoxy-based pipes provide for increased flow rates due to their smooth and jointless surface and have a minimum life expectancy of 50 years.

This method of repair is standard at CME Sewer Repair, and we recommend this solution to rehabilitate pipes that are failing due to leaks, cracks and corrosion. The process is minimally obtrusive and eco-friendly, allowing your business’ doors to stay open during the process, meaning no missed sales, no employee down time, and no lost productivity.
